Shimmer Polish week 2 Day 5: Fanny

Hello! We're entering the second half of the Shimmer Polish week, getting closer to the end! In this post, I'll show you Fanny, which as every other Shimmer, can reach full opacity in 3 coats. Its a feminine nail polish color, and it looks amazing on its own! Pictures dont do justice :(

Hola! Ya entrando a la segunda mitad de la semana Shimmer Polish, vamos acercándonos al final! Este post les mostraré a Fanny, el cual como todos los otros shimmer alcanza cobertura completa en 3 capas. Es un esmalte muy femenino y bonito y se ve increíble solo! Las fotos no hacen justicia :(

For the pics I'm wearing 3 coats plus one of mi usual top coat (Fast forward top coat by China Glaze).
Fanny contains lots of different pink glitters, some purple, even red and iridescent ones. As always it is impossible to name all the types of glitter the Shimmer have, we would never end!

En Fanny podemos encontrar mucho glitter rosa de varios tipos, algunos morados y rojos, y también iridiscentes. Como siempre es casi imposible nombrar todos los tipos de glitter que contienen los Shimmer, nunca acabaríamos!

Airrian is so fancy. It has a clear base filled with red, black, pink, and gold glitters. 

Airrian es muy elegante. Es una base transparente llena de glitters rojos, negros, rosas y dorados. 

I decided to pair it with Don't pretzel my buttons by OPI and a black accent, all with the help of some scotch tape.

Decidí combinarlo con Dont pretzel my buttons de OPI y un acento en negro, todo con la ayuda de un poco de cinta mágica.

Shimmer Polish week 2 Day 7: Alessandra

Another Shimmer polish day and today we have Alessandra! This one is sooo special. This one was such a surprise. Loooove!

Otro dia de Shimmer Polish y hoy tennis Alessandra! Este es muuuy especial. Lo amo!! 

Can you believe that all the swatch pics were two coats of Alessandra, no undies?! Plus one of top coat if course. 

Yes, it's full coverage with no effort! Because the red tinted jelly base and the red and green glitters in a big concentration, the application is a dream, not even a tiny bit of VNL with two coats. 

Pueden creer que todas las fotos son dos capas de Alessandra, sin color base?! Más una capa de top coat claro. 

Si, totalmente curtiente y sin ningún esfuerzo! Por su base jelly con un poquito de color rojo y sus glitters rojos y verdes en gran cantidad, la aplicación es un sueño, no hay ni siquiera un poco de la línea de la uña visible con dos capas.

Hello my loves! Today is the last day of the shimmer polish week! I hope you have enjoyed it! And last shimmer I'm gonna show you for now is Strength, which was created for PCOS awareness and all the proceeds go to this cause. 

Hola mis queridos! Hoy es el último dia de la semana Shimmer Polish, espero que la hayan disfrutado! Y el último shimmer que les mostraré por ahora es Strength, que fue creado para crear conciencia del SOP o Síndrome de Ovario Poliquístico, todas las ventas de Strength se destinan a esta causa.

Strength contains blue, silver and holo glitters and silver hearts in a clear base. It reaches full coverage in 2 or 3 coats, but I used it in a simple glitter gradient over China Glaze Recycle, and I love how these two look together!

Strength tiene glitters azules, plata, y holográficos, y corazones plateados en una base transparente. Alcanza cobertura completa en 2 o 3 capas, pero yo lo usé en un simple gradiente de glitter sobre Recycle de China Glaze, y me encanta como se ven juntos!

Star studs / Studs de estrellita de Born Pretty Store

Hi again! Another simple post about studs from Born Pretty Store but now star ones! I love how tiny these are, and they're also available in like a thousand colors more, but there's something about golden stars that I adore <3. I matched them with Gilded Chrome by Finger Paints (I'm obsessed with this textured nail polish!), French white by Nina and a brandless pear-like polish. (The ring is also from the store (BPS) and it came in a 7 piece set of midi rings which I got for $1.99 USD)

Me encanta lo chiquitas que son, y además hay en mil colores más pero a mi las estrellitas doradas me fascinan. Shell studs / Studs shell de Born Pretty Store

Hello there! This one is a short, brief post since I took only one picture of these beautiful shell studs from Born Pretty Store! I think these are so cute! They're obviously perfect for beach-themed manicures but you could use them to embellish any manicure- plain nail color for example :D These are 3 mm, this size is perfect, it fits so well! Also, they lay flat on the nail. I placed them with clear nail polish and then 'sandwiched' them with top coat, you can use nail glue as well for a long lasting look. They are reusable, and you can even unpaint them with pure acetone so they're silver! (kinda like having 2 products in one).

Hoooola! Este es un post cortito (según yo) pues solo tomé una foto de estos bonitos studs en forma de 'conchita' o almeja de Born Pretty Store. Ya llevaba tiempo viéndo de este tipo de stud y se me hacen muy lindos! Obviamente son perfectos para nail art de playa, sol, vacaciones.. peeero también se pueden usar para hacer cualquier manicure aún mas bello, por ejemplo al usar un solo color de base. Estos miden 3 mm y me quedan muy bien, ya saben que tengo uñas pequeñitas! Los pegué con esmalte transparente y luego puse una capita de top coat encima para que quedaran en un 'sandwich' jaja :). También se pueden pegar con pegamento para que duren más. Y también son reusables, e incluso estos que son dorados se pueden despintar con acetona pura y quedan plateados. Como tener dos productos en uno!

Rose water decals / Water decals de rosas Born Pretty Store

Hi! Today we have another review here at the nail sensation, from Born Pretty Store, this time is all about the cutest rose water decals! I usually paint roses with a small brush but I love how realistic these look! As I have told you before the water decals are activated with water, you must cut the piece that contains the decal you want and submerge it for a few seconds in water (similar to applying a temporary tattoo), then you place it over some base color of your choice and end with top coat! :)

Hola! Hoy en The nail sensation tenemos otro review de Born Pretty Store, esta vez de unas water decals de rosas! Yo suelo pintar las rosas con pincel pero me encanta lo realistas que se ven asi! Como ya les he contado antes las water decals se activan con agua, hay que cortar el pedacito que contenga la estampa que queramos y sumergirla unos segundos en agua (similar a aplicar un tatuaje temporal),  despues hay que colocarla sobre algun color base que queramos y terminar con top coat! :)

For this design I used the water decals over Don't pretzel my buttons by OPI, on my index I placed some rhinestones also from Born Pretty and you can read the review here, and for my thumb and pinky i used Dorothy by australian brand piCture pOlish (which I also showed here) ;)

Hello! I hope you're great! I have some Born Pretty Store reviews for you and we'll start with some round holo glitter!
This glitter comes loose in a little box that contains a lot of product, the website says it contains 3 grams but it reall is so much I don't think i'll ever use it all! The size is perfect, at first I thought they were too big for my nails but no, they're just the right size. 


How did I use it? I thought of doing something somewhat 'fancy' and simple with Starry Night by piCture pOlish, No place like chrome by Essie and a glitter placement.

Hola! Espero que estén muy bien! Les tengo algunas reseñas de Born Pretty Store y empezaremos 

con un botecito de glitter redondo holográfico super bonito. 

El glitter viene suelto en un botecito con muchísimo producto, son 3 gramos pero en cantidad son tantos que nunca creo usarlos todos!! El tamaño es perfecto, al principio pensé que eran muy grandes para mis uñitas pero no, me quedaron super bien. 

¿Cómo los usé? Pues se me ocurrió hacer algo 'elegante' y sencillo con Starry Night de piCture pOlish, No place like chrome de Essie y un glitter placement bastante simple.

 I also took another pic including the little glitter box which as you can see is quite big. For the amount of glitter it contains I think the price is great- $3.09 USD. Besides, the quality is awesome because sometimes the loose glitter comes with irregular pieces or with sharp edges but this is not the case, yey!

También tome otra foto incluyendo el botecito de glitter que como verán si es bastante grande. Para la cantidad de glitter que viene se me hace excelente el precio, que es de $3.09 USD. Además la calidad es bastante buena ya que algunas veces el glitter suelto viene mal cortado o con pedazos irregulares y este no es el caso! :) yeey!

Sally girl Fresh Picked

Hello my loves! How is your day going so far? I'm having a nice warm day here in Mexico :) Today I want to show you the Fresh Picked collection by Sally Girl I got from Sally Beauty Supply.  They're 4 gorgeous glitter crellys, and i'm in love with them!

Hola mis chulos y hermosos lectores! Que tal su día? :) Hoy les voy a enseñar la colección Fresh Picked de Sally Girl que compre en Sally Beauty Supply. Son 4 crelly con glitter hermosos, me encantaron!

 Fresh as a daisy: baby pink toned crelly base, pink hex glitter and small green and gold glitter. No undies! 3 coats plus just one coat of top coat. 

Fresh as a daisy: base crelly de color rosa bebe, glitter hex rosa y glitter más pequeño de colores verde y dorado. Sin color base! 3 capas y sólo una capa de top coat. 

Mulberry affair: Blue and purple glitters on a periwinkle crelly base. I think of blueberries when I look at it! 3 coats, no undies, one coat of top coat. 

Mulberry Affair: Glitters azules y morados en una base crelly color azul/periwinkle. ¡Pienso en moras azules cuando lo veo! 3 capas, sin undies, una capa de top coat.

So re-leafed: Green, blue and gold glitters on a green crelly base. 3 coats, no undies, one coat of top coat. 

So re-leafed: Glitter verde, azul y dorado, en una base crelly verde. 3 capas, sin undies, una capa de top coat. 

Petal pusher: My favorite! You can't see much of the purple glitters in the bottle but once its applied they all come out! Fun combo of red, blue and purple glitters on a milky base. Looove. 3 coats, no undies, one coat of top coat.

Petal pusher: Mi favorito de los cuatro! Al principio no entendia muy bien la combinación porque en la botella no se aprecian los glitters morados, pero una vez aplicado salen en la brocha y wow! Me encantó. 3 capas, sin undies, una capa de top coat. 


Overall I really liked these polishes, the quality is amazing and they're so original and unique! Plus, they are so cute! I recomend them. Thank you for your visit and see you next time! xo

En general me gustaron mucho estos esmaltitos, se me hacen de lo mas bonito! Además, la calidad es muy buena, y son muy originales y únicos. Me gusta que esta marca ha estado innovando mucho y entre su surtido podemos encontrar incluso algunos dupes exactos de esmaltes mucho mas costosos. Hello hello there! I hope you're doing great! This time I prepared a somewhat large post but it's worth reading it, trust me! I will show you a mexican nail polish brand: Pitahia. 

Hola!! Espero que esten suuuuper bien!  En esta ocasión preparé un post un poquito largo pero que vale la pena leer ya que les presentaré una marca mexicana de esmaltes: Pitahia. 

 Some days ago I had the most amazing shopping day with my friends and we went nail polish shopping! We obviously had to get some Pitahia since we didnt own any! Pitahia is a 3-free mexican artisanal brand that has an amazing quality!
That day I bought 3 bottles (Siete Amores, Menta and Camelia) and I finally tried them all, time for a post to share my experience!

Hace unos poquitos días tuve un dia de paseo con mis amigas y fuimos a comprar esmaltes a varios puntos de la ciudad (les hablaré de eso mas adelante!) y una de nuestras paradas fue para por fin hacernos de algunos Pitahia! Se trata de una marca mexicana de esmaltes artesanales, 3-Free y de excelente calidad!
Ese dia compré 3 botellitas (Siete Amores, Menta y Camelia) y por fin probé todos, momento de hacer un post y compartirles mi experiencia!


Generally: The quality of the nail polishes is really good, they all have a great formula, it makes so easy to work with them! The brush, omg! i loved the brush! It's kinda like the OPI one, and you barely need clean up. The bottles are gorgeous, very artisanal and cute. You get to feel the nail polishes are made with love! Also, each nail polish comes with a little bag to store it after using it, cool! The only detail I found is that they didnt have any steel mixing balls  and they need some, I'll tell you why below. Everything else is great! And these dry in no time!

En general: La calidad de los esmaltes es muy muuuy buena, todos tienen una fórmula con la que me fue fácil trabajar :) La brocha, uff! la brocha esta excelente! Tipo OPI, casi no se necesita clean up! Las botellas son de lo mas hermoso, muy artesanales y bonitas. Se transmite que los esmaltitos estan hechos con amor! Además cada esmalte viene con una bolsita de tela para guardarlo, padrísimo! El único detalle que les encuentro es que no traen balines y son indispensables, mas abajo les explicaré por qué.  Todo lo demás es excelente! Ah, y secan rapidísimo!

Siete Amores: /Seven loves/  This was such a great buy! Opaque in 2 coats, no top coat, so shiny! This one was muy favorite out of the 3 I bought. 
I combined it with Lullaby by indie brand Cirque, I loved it! 

Siete Amores: Este tono ya lo tenía en mente cuando fuimos a comprar, y que gran compra fue! Queda opaco en 2 capas, parejito, muy brillosito sin top coat. Seca enseguida. De los 3 que compré este es mi favorito. 
 Lo combiné con un glitter de la marca indie Cirque llamado Lullaby y me encantó, lucían hermosos juntos!

Menta: /Mint/ I loved this shade because from the moment I saw it I knew I didnt have anything like that in my stash. Its a unique green, very pretty and flattering. Opaque in 2 coats, great formula. I paired it with a bar glitter nail polish by LA Girl from the feathers collection, Parrot.

Menta: El tono me encantó porque desde que lo vi supe que no tenía algo así en mi colección. Es un verde muy peculiar, es muy bonito y luce bellisimo en las uñas. Opaco en 2 capas, también su fórmula es excelente. Lo combiné con un glitter de barrita de L.A. Girl de la colección Feathers, Parrot.  
 

Camelia: /Camellia/ From the most recent colection by Pitahia, Botanica. Its a bright coral-pink-orange-peachy shade, soooo hard to photograph, i had a really hard time! It looks a lot like East Austin by Color Club and a little bit like Flip Flop Fantasy by China Glaze. Its gorg buuuuut... remember what I said about steel mixing balls?  This one sure needs some! I think Camelia came a little bit settled, each time I opened it it looked like gum on the brush :S it got me on my nerves, but I realised that did not afect the application, it was just a moment when getting out the brush. Either way I was a little disturbed of watching that gum kinda thing, so I shaked it over and over again for several days and it got a lot better! I'm still buying some steel mixing balls to make my life easier :). 

Camelia: De la colección mas reciente de Pitahia, Botánica. Es un rosa-coral-naranjito-duraznito muuuy difícil de fotografiar, en verdad me hizo sufrir! Se parece mucho a East Austin de Color Club, y también le da un aire a Flip Flop Fantasy de China Glaze. Es precioso peeeeero... recuerdan lo de los balines? Este necesita muchos balines! Creo que venia un poco asentado el esmalte, cada que lo abría se quedaba una hebra en la brocha como si fuera chicle :S. Esto me desesperaba un poco, pero me di cuenta de que no afectaba en nada la aplicación, solo era un momento al sacar la brocha. De todas maneras como me perturbaba un poco ver la hebra, lo agité y lo agité y lo agité durante varios dias y mejoró muchísimo, esa hebrita esta casi inexistente! De todas formas si le compraré unos balines, porque me duele la mano de tanto agitar y que tal que luego me da Síndrome de tunel carpiano o tendinitis o algo asi D:! Jajaja, no, no es cierto ;). 

I used Camelia in a skull design, that I recreated from Nail Everything. 

Usé Camelia en un diseño con unas calaveritas, que recreé de Nail Everything. 

 In conclusion? I recomend Pitahia 100%! I regret not buying more and I regret that I waited so long to try them. Though these are mexican and right now they're only sold in Mexico, soon the brand will lauch their online shop, I will let you know as soon as I have news! Conclusión? Les recomiendo los esmaltes Pitahia 100%! Me doy de topes de no haberlos probado antes y me doy de topes por no haber comprado más, pero mis amigas y yo ya estamos pensando en volver por muchos tonos mas! Yo los compré en Happening Store en México, DF, pero tienen muchisimos puntos de venta en la Republica Mexicana los cuales pueden checar en www.pitahia.com Seguramente los encontrarán entre 90 y 100 pesos. :) Si no se encuentran en mexico, no se preocupen. Pronto Pitahia tendrá tienda online! Les estaré informando cualquier novedad! Espero que este post les sea útil y se animen a comprar estos bonitos esmaltes.
