 Woo! Last week I went to Sally with my boyfriend and he bought me the only two they had left : / It seems our Sallys here in Mexico are having problems on restocking so its quite hard to find new nail polish.. :( Anyways, he bought me 'Glistening Snow' and 'Glitter all the way'.

Woo! La semana pasada fui a Sally con mi novio y me compró los ultimos dos que tenían  : /. Parece que nuestros Sallys aqui en México tienen problemas al resurtir las tiendas asi que es bastante díficil encontrar nuevos esmaltes.. :(. Pero bueno, me compró 'Glistening Snow' y 'Glitter all the way'.

 Glistening snow is a clear base fully packed with silver micro glitter, and silver holo micro glitter. Pictures do not make justice to it. Its super sparkly, dries super fast. It needs a topcoat though, to make the surface even, but thats not a big deal, cause its really worth it. Also Glistening snow flatters my skin tone, but thats just my particular case : )
Glitter all the way is a clear base with tiny gold, purple and red glitter and small green glitter (meaning green glitter is a little bit larger than the others). It can be used as a glitter top coat or worn by itself.

Glistening snow es una base transparente llena de micro glitter plateado y micro glitter holográfico plateado. Las fotos no le hacen justicia. Es super brillante, seca rapidísimo. Aunque necesita una top coat para emparejar la superficie, pero no es un gran problema, vale mucho la pena. Además Glistening Snow es muy favorecedor para mi tono de piel, pero ese es mi caso particular :)
Glitter all the way es una base transparente con glitter dorado, morado y rojo muy pequeño, y glitter verde pequeño (osea que el glitter verde es un poquito mas grande que los otros). Puede usarse como top coat the glitter o se puede usar solo. 

Shown on the pics is 3 coats of each polish. For full coverage on Glitter all the way, I would suggest 4 coats.

Para las fotos usé 3 capas de cada uno. Para cubrir completamente con Glitter all the way, sugiero 4 capas. 

Earlier that week I saw @packapunchnails on Instagram wearing Flip Flop Fantasy with a Glistening Snow accent and I loved it! I was sad because I didnt have it, so when my boyfriend got it for me I HAD to do this combo, its awesome!

Dias antes esa misma semana, vi a @packapuncknails en Instagram usando Flip Flop Fantasy con un acento de Glistening Snow y me encantó! Estaba triste porque no lo tenia, asi que cuando mi novio me lo compró tuve que hacer esta combinación, se ve increíble!

My snowflake mani / Mi diseño de nieve

Hello! I wanted to show you what I did to my snowflake mani from the last post. It was beautiful but it looked to plain so I did the obvious: MORE GLITAH!

Hola! Queria enseñar lo que le hice a mi diseño de nieve del último post. Estaba muy bonito pero le hacia falta algo asi que añadí lo obvio: GLITTER!

Revlon: Blue Lagoon

 Revlon's Blue Lagoon is a soft, pastel blue with silver shimmer on it. Though I do not owe it, some people say it's a dupe for Sinful Colors' Cinderella. Application is not easy, at first its uneven and then with some layers it gets better. The brush wont help either: Too large, thin. So, the formula is not that good. It looks as if it was bumpy. Also its not so shiny, needs a top coat for sure. Overall, its a lovely, lovely shade which I use over, and over, and over again.

Blue Lagoon de Revlon es un tono azul pastel con brillos plateados. Aunque no lo poseo algunas personas dicen que es idéntico a Cinderella de Sinful Colors. La aplicación no es fácil, primero queda disparejo y con unas capas queda mejor. El aplicador no ayuda tampoco: Muy largo, delgado. Asi que la fórmula no es muy buena. Se ve como si tuviera bolas. Tampoco queda muy brilloso al secar, necesita una top coat definitivamente. A pesar de todo esto es un tono precioso que uso una, y otra, y otra vez.

Hice un diseño simple con este color como color base. Aqui una foto, pero puedes ver el siguiente post para mas. Añadí glitter. Obviamente.

NOTD / Uñas del día

 Some pics of my weekend mani. Its a rainbow thing, I used 7 different polishes; lilac, blue, green, pink, orange, yellow and glitter. Then, clean up was a bitch. So there's a huge gap between the nail polish and my cuticle. Its a weird design but somehow I still liked it.

Algunas fotos de mi diseño de fin de semaña. Intenté algo asi como de arcoiris, use 7 esmaltes diferentes; lila, azul, verde, rosa, naranja, amarillo y glitter. Luego, limpiar fue horrible! Por eso hay un graaaan espacio entre mi piel y  el esmalte. Es un diseño raro pero de alguna manera me gustó.

Klean Color: Fuschia Glitter

This polish stinks so bad. I usually like the smell of most brands but this one I cant take it. My head hurts when painting my nails. BUT I like the glitter on it (maybe for glitter placements) so I kept it in my stash.
Klean Color Fuschia Glitter is an intense pink red-ish jelly, with small, medium and large hex holo glitter. Theres a lot of sinking. Fishing was needed too, for the largest glitters. 
Shown on the pics its 8 coats. 8! Even like that theres VNL. A lot. Solution: Layering? Not really. 8 coats and you can count one by one the small amount of glitter on every nail. Remember fishing was required?  This polish is a big fail by itself. I could use it for glitter placements and thats it. Such a shame. I wont give up though, its gotta be good someway! (i think).

Este esmalte huele horrible! Normalmente me gusta el olor de la mayoría de las marcas de esmalte pero este no lo aguanto. Me duele la cabeza mientras pinto mis uñas. PERO me gusta el glitter (tal vez solo para colocarlo por separado en las uñas) y lo conservé en mi colección.
Fuschia Glitter de Klean Color es un rosa, rojo traslúcido, con glitter holográfico hexagonal, pequeño, mediano y grande. Se hunde al fondo! Tambien tuve que pescar las piezas mas grandes. 
En las fotos tengo 8 capas. 8! Y aún asi se ve la línea de mi uña. Mucho. Solucion, como top coat? No realmente. 8 capas y puedes contar la pequeña cantidad de glitters en cada uña. Además tuve que pescarlos! Este esmalte es un gran fail. Podría usar el glitter individualmente y ya. Una pena. Aunque no me rendiré, tiene que ser bueno de alguna manera! (creo).

The brush is wide and large. Not the best though. 

El aplicador es ancho y largo. Pero no es el mejor.

OPI: Glitzerland

 Hi everybody! Today I wanted to show you how awesome is OPI's Glitzerland from the Swiss Collection (from 2010). This is gorgeous!!! A beautiful champagne base with micro glitter and gold/champagne shimmer. Its almost a foil. Heres a pic of the bottle:

Hola! Hoy quería mostrar lo bonito que es Glitzerland de OPI, de la colección de Suiza del 2010. Es hermoso! Es una base champagne no muy pigmentada con micro glitter y un ligero brillo entre dorado y champagne. El terminado es casi metálico. Aquí una foto de la botella:

Now there are 3 pics below. The first is one coat, the second two coats and the third, obviously three coats (lol). I would say its a two-coater but it definitely looks so much better with 3 thin coats.

Ahora hay 3 fotos debajo. La primera es una capa, la segunda son dos capas, y la tercera (obviamente) son 3 capas. Diría que es un esmalte para dos capas pero definitivamente queda mejor con 3 capas ligeras.

I consider this shade as a perfect one for fall and you know what? I think itll look amazing on a Christmas mani! Agree? Comment comment comment :)

Anddddddddd (drums please) my design with Glitzerland. I used what it seems to be my favorite OPI shade ever, Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! <3 I just cant get tired of it. At least not yet. This is probably one of my most used polishes of all times (lol -as if it was a lot of time). I also used a thin and small brush.

Yyyyyy (tambores por favor) mi diseño con  Glitzerland. Use también el que parece ser mi tono favorito de OPI, Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! <3 No me canso de el. Al menos no aún. Es probablemente uno de mis esmaltes mas usados de todos los tiempos (jaja- como si fuera mucho tiempo). También use un pincel delgado y corto.

Dont you just love this combo? Its perfect!!! I adore it.

NOTD: Gradient with glitter / Gradiente con glitter

 Hello there! Im so sorry for the lack of posts, i've been so busy! However i did this mani a couple of days ago and took a lot of pictures of it. I loved it! Its a subtle blue-to-lilac gradient with glitter on top. The blue is Revlon's Blue Lagoon, the lilac tone is OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' from the Shrek forever after collection (2010) (love this shade so so much <3). Glitters! I used so many! I remember I used OPI's Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry collection,  CG's Make a Spectacle from the Wicked Collection (2012) and CG's Fairy Dust, along with a lot of other nameless mexican glitter polishes. I discovered iridescents go amazing with pastels! Anyways, I had this look on for like 4 days or something- a lot compared to my other manis-. It was truly impossible to capture how amazing this combo was, and the glow in the sun! Butttt lets go to the important! The pics obviously. There are some macros too. Tell me the truth, was it too much glitter?... JK there's no such thing as too much glitter lol. 

Hola! Siento la falta de posts ultimamente, he estado super super ocupada :(. Hice este diseño hace algunos dias y tomé muchisimas fotos. Me encantó! Es un sutil gradiente de azul a lila con glitter. El azul es Blue Lagoon de Revlon y el lila es Rumple's Wiggin' de la colección de Shrek de OPI (2010) (me encanta ese tono <3). Para los glitters use muchisimos esmaltes! Recuerdo haber usado Last Friday Night de la colección de Katy Perry OPI, Make a spectacle de la Wicked Collection (2012) de China Glaze y de CG también Fairy Dust, junto con muchos otros glitters mexicanos sin nombre. Descubrí que los iridiscentes quedan increíble con pasteles! Pero bueno, tuve este look por como 4 dias o algo así - que es mucho a comparación de lo que normalmente me dejo un diseño). Fue de verdad imposible obtener una foto que le hiciera justicia a esta combinación, y lo bonito que brillaba en el sol! Peeeero vamos a lo importante! Las fotos obviamente. Hay algunos macros tambien. Dime la verdad, fue demasiado glitter? ... Ja! solo bromeo, no existe tal cosa como demasiado glitter.
