Hello my dearest! Today is the 10th day of the 12 Days of Christmas series and Deborah from www.lovevarnish.com is the guest for the day! I've been reading her blog for a long time now, two years, maybe? And then I followed her on IG (@lovevarnish) and she is so nice and sweet! I'm very happy to have her here today so let's see her manicure!
Hi loves! My name is Deborah, and I am one of the bloggers from Love.
Varnish, chocolate and more... It's such an honor to have been asked by
Pamela to do a guestpost for her, since she's one of my favorite
bloggers ^^. I'll admit I had a bit of a hard time coming up with a
look for this post because the others already did such fabulous work,
but I think I did good.
Because these guestposts are part of a 12
days of Christmas series, I decided to use a beautiful red shade to
start with. It's Cirque Colors The Devil Wears Cirque, the perfect red
creme that glides on effortlessly in 2 coats. After it dried I grabbed
both OPI L.A.M.B. from the Gwen Stefani collection, and Cirque Colors
Memento Mori, a very opaque black creme. This look will stand out
perfectly against a black party dress!
For this particular look
you'll want your base to be absolutely dry. Otherwise you'll dent it and
the results aren't as pretty. Now, take the accent color you want to
use (I started with the OPI) and wipe the brush as clean as possible.
Don't worry, there will still be polish clinging on to it! Use the "dry"
brush and brush it over the red base in short strokes. It'll give a
distressed look because the brush will skip a bit on the surface! Now,
take your second accent color and repeat the process. After I did a
round with black, I used the gold again to put on some extra sparkle.
Use topcoat to seal in your design and you are done!
Well, hopefully you enjoyed this look, if you want to see more designs please feel free to visit my blog or follow on Instagram!
