Hola hola! Me encantan los nudes. Son perfectos para cualquier ocasión, se ven elegantes y limpios y además sirven como base para muchas ideas de nail art. Por eso les quiero hablar de la colección Beige with benefits de Ruby Wing, que se compone de tonos neutrales tanto cremosos como metálicos, con el cambio de color que caracteriza a la marca. Hice swatches de los 6 esmaltes que la conforman, así que sigan leyendo para enterarse de todo!

Summer Gardenia || Beige with benefits

Summer Gardenia: Mi favorito de toda la colección. En su estado normal es rosa muy suave, casi blanco y un poco traslúcido. Cubre bien en 3 capas. Despues del cambio con la luz solar (dependiendo de la intensidad de ésta) se convierte en magenta o morado. El cambio es completamente visible e intenso, pero tambien se pueden apreciar diferentes tonalidades de rosa dependiendo de la luz. Definitivamente también uno de mis Ruby Wing favoritos. // A favorite. Soft white pink, 3 coats needed. When exposed you get a pretty magenta.

Bonfire || Beige with benefits

Bonfire: Metálico cobre, cambia a un tono mucho mas rojo en el sol. Queda bien en dos capas. De todos, es el cambio más sutil, pero se aprecia bien. // Soft metallic copper, turns into a warmer, redder copper. Two coats.

Driftwood || Beige with benefits

Driftwood: En su estado normal entra en la categoría greige, es decir, beige/gris. Es ligeramente jelly pero cubre en 3 capas. Despues de exponerlo a luz solar se vuelve gris con subtono morado. Es muy lindo y el cambio es notable. // Greige with a jelly consistency, good coverage in 3 coats. Purplish gray in the sun. Very pretty.

After sunset || Beige with benefits

 After sunset: Por la iluminación, pareciera un esmalte dorado, pero no lo es. El color del esmalte es mas como el que se ve en los bordes de las uñas; After sunset es tono oro rosa ;). Muy cubriente, queda bien en dos capas. Cambia a un suave morado metálico. // Because of the lighting, it appears to be gold, but After Sunset is more of a rose gold. You get to see the true color on the edges of the nail. Great coverage, changes into a metallic light purple.

Sandy Shore || Beige with benefits

Sandy shore: Otro favorito! Este color arena es perfecto, muy favorecedor y bastante pigmentado. El cambio es muy notable, se transforma a rojo (pasando por tonos rosados). // Sand toned beige, I love it! Very flattering and pigmented, turns to a pinkish red when exposed.

Shipwrecked || Beige with benefits

Shipwrecked: Beige rojizo, super pigmentado, queda bien en dos capas delgadas. Cambia a morado grisáceo. Lindo lindo! // Beige with warm red undertones, highly pigmented, changes to a mauve shade. Love!

Helloooo! It's a pic heavy post because today I want to show you my swatches of the Hawaii collection by OPI. This collection has 12 shades, all of them have amazing formula, and they're opaque in 2-3 coats. And the brushhhhh... Could it be any more perfect? 

Hoola! Este post es un poco largo y tiene muchas fotos, pues les tengo swatches de la colección Hawaii de OPI. La colección tiene 12 colores, todos tienen excelente formula y cubren en dos o tres capas. Y la brocha, la brocha!! Mejor? Imposible! 

Suzi Shops & Island Hops - OPI Hawaii 2015

Suzi Shops & Island Hops: It's a soft bubbly pink. This one was a pleasant surprise, because I like this color a lot, but most of the nail polishes like SS&IH are way too sheer. But no, 3 thin coats later I was in nail polish heaven. <3 [Sidenote: something I love about OPI is the name they give to their polishes. Specially the ones referring to Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Executive VP and Artistic Director of the brand. Names like 'Where did Suzi's Man-go?'.. Hilarious!] // Se trata de un rosa chicle muy suave, hermoso! Fue una gran sorpresa para mi, pues he visto este tono  de esmalte en otras marcas, pero suelen ser traslúcidos y me decepciono de no poder alcanzar el tono de la botella. Peeero los sueños se cumplen y SS&IH queda opaco con solo 3 capas delgadas. <3 [Nota al margen: me encantan los nombres que ponen a los esmaltes de OPI, es algo que amo de la marca. En especial me gustan los que hacen referencia a Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, VP y Directora Artística de la marca. Nombres como 'Where did Suzi's Man-Go?'... Geniales!!]

Aloha from OPI- OPI Hawaii 2015

Aloha from OPI: red with orange undertones. Opaque in 2 coats. People say OPI reds are the best... I think they're right. // Rojo con subtono naranja. Opaco en dos capas. Dicen que los rojos de OPI son los mejores... Creo que tienen toda la razón. 

Lost my bikini in Molokini - OPI Hawaii 2015

Lost my bikini in Molokini: it's a nice purple, bright enough- not neon. It has a dash of dustiness. Formula feels like butter. // Morado, muy lindo, encendido sin llegar a ser neón. Se aplica como mantequilla! <3

Is Mai Tai Crooked? - OPI Hawaii 2015

Is Mai Tai crooked?: ahhhh <333. A fave. I have a thing for peachy oranges and this one is perfect and flattering and opaque in 2 coats. It's very similar to 'If in doubt... Surf it out' by China Glaze. Comparison post coming. Though, a girl can't have enough Peachy Polishes, right? ;) // ahh! Un favorito! <333 tengo un algo por los tonos durazno naranjosos y este es perfecto y muy favorecedor y queda opaco en dos capas. Es muy similar a 'If in doubt... Surf it out' de China Glaze. Pronto post de comparaciones. Aunque, una chica no puede tener demasiados tonos durazno, no? ;)

My gecko does tricks - OPI Hawaii 2015

My gecko does tricks: Though it looks somewhat sheer, this shimmery green gets opaque in 3 coats. It also has a light gold duochrome shift, which you can see in the bottle. Sadly not visible on the nail. // Aunque parece un poco traslucido, este verde con shimmer queda bien en 3 capas. También tiene un toquecito duocromo dorado, que se puede ver en la botella. Lo malo es que no se ve en la uña.

Hello Hawaii Ya?: [See what they did there? LOL] Gotta LOOOVE these dusty purples. Opaque in 2 coats. Perfect perfect and perfect. // [Vieron lo que hicieron con el nombre? Me encantan!] Amo estos morados grisaceos. Me parecen muy favorecedores y divertidos sin llamar demasiado la atención. Este queda bien en dos capitas. Perfecto, perfecto y perfecto.

Pineapples have peelings too!: another fantastic name! This one is a shimmery gold filled with red, blue, green, silver and black hex glitters in different sizes. TBH I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one. After a lot of swatches I was all 'Meh' about it. But when I put it on, I found out I kinda dig it without over applying the glitters on it. This is how it looks the best for me. 3 coats. // Otro fantástico nombre! Este es dorado shimmer con glitters hexagonales en verde, rojo, azul, negro y plateado de diferentes tamaños. Para ser honesta no estaba segura de que este tono fuera a gustarme. Después de ver varios swatches, seguía dándome lo mismo. Pero cuando lo probé, me di cuenta de que me gusta cuando no aplico demasiados glitters. Así es como me queda mejor. 3 capas.

Go with the lava flow: the bottle caught my eye instantly. I knew this one would be really special. It's a dusty red with gold shimmer, almost creating new a duochrome effect in the bottle. Two coats. // El color en la botella llamó mi atención enseguida. Sabia que ate Toño seria muy especial. Es rojo apagado con shimmer dorado, creando casi un efecto duocromo en la botella. Dos capas.

This color's making waves: many pictures of this one so you can see how it looks from different angles. Also a bottle shot because WOW. See those tiny glitters? I die. 3 coats. I tried putting it over a black base to see if that duochrome shift in the bottle was more noticeable but no-no. Still, it's gorgeous. // Muchas muchas fotos de este para que vean como luce desde diferentes ángulos. También una toma de la botella porque WOW. Ven esos glittercitos? Muero! 3 capas. Intente ponerlo sobre una base negra para ver si el duocromo que se alcanza a ver en la botella se hacía más notable, pero no no. Aún así, es hermoso!

Just Lanai-ing around: a soft rose pink color. There's a little bit of shimmer in there. Two coats // Un lindo color rosado, dos capas. Tiene un shimmer ligerito, ligerito, casi invisible en la uña. 

That's hularious - OPI Hawaii 2015

That's Hularious!: Soft minty green. Though I've seen this color in other brands, extra points for the fab formula! // Verde menta pastel. Aunque he visto este tono en otras marcas, puntos extra por la fabulosa formula! 

Do you take Lei away? - OPI Hawaii 2015

Do you take Lei away?: Last one. I don't know about the reds, but I do love OPI nudes. Two coats. <3// El ultimo. No se de los rojos, pero amo los nudes de OPI. Dos capas. <3

 Hello girls, good morning/afternoon/night! I have another quick post for a Born Pretty Store product! The other day I had naked nails (oops) and I didnt have much time and I remembered I had these poppy water decals, so I decided to use them and I was very satisfied with the result! It took less than 5 minutes, I added top coat and they lasted for a few days!

Hi everyone! How are you? I'm fine :D i'm struggling with some health issues but luckily nothing major. So, as many of you know, I have a youtube channel, and I usually link to the vids on posts BUT there are many vids that I havent talk about in here. So I'll put the video and a picture of the designs and maybe a word or two about it. Its going to be a quick post since i'm preparing a H U G E post on Shimmer Polish, which you all know that I'm in love with.
NOTE: All my vids are in spanish because, well, i'm mexican. Nonetheless you can still watch them, the designs I've done are not complicated at all and just by seeing what I do you'll get the hang of it. 

Hola, todos! Como están? Yo muy bien :D Con algunos problemillas de salud pero por suerte nada grave. Bueno, como muchos de ustedes saben, tengo un canal de youtube, y normalmente pongo links a los videos en los post PERO hay muchos videos de los cuales no he hablado aquí. Así que pondre el video y una foto de los diseños y quizás una palabra o dos acerca del mismo. Va a ser un post rápido ya que estoy preparando uno E N O R M E de shimmer polish, que ya todos saben que estoy enamorada de la marca.

Chevron /zigzag nails




I looove chevrons! But if you've ever tried to do them on your nails you'll know they are seriously the hardest! it would seem its almost impossible to draw them by hand. Most people use tape, but i'm really unpatient and I just cant wait til polish its dry enough to apply the tape. I did this vid for people like me who just cant get a tape manicure right.

Aamo los zizag en mis uñas! Pero si alguna ves han intentado pintarlos a mano sabrán que, de verdad, es imposible! Pareciera que asi lo es cuando intenté pintarlos a mano. Mucha gente usa cinta adhesiva, peeeero soy muy impaciente y simplemente no puedo esperar a que el esmalte este lo suficientemente seco como para poner la cinta. Hice este video para la gente como yo que de verdad no podemos hacer un mani con cinta. No, no, no.

One of the recent vids on my youtube is also one of the most requested ones. Not all by itself but the part where I show how to do roses! I actually have a video for roses and I've placed it on some blog posts before, but this one is slightly different cause its actually the tutorial for the roses I do all the time and everyone seem to like, where I use pink, green and white only and starting from that I create 4 more shades to give depth to the roses.

De hecho yo ya tenía un video sobre como hacer rosas y lo he insertado en algunos blog posts antes, pero este es ligeramente diferente ya que es de hecho el tutorial para las rosas que hago todo el tiempo y que parece ser que a todo mundo le gustan, donde uso rosa, blanco y verde solamente y a partir de ahí, creo otros 4 tonos para dar profundidad a las rosas.

Finally, and just because I cant remember if I had linked to this before, here's a watermarble tutorial using my fave indie glow in the dark nail polish line: PolishMeToGo. Is super easy and trust me when I say that cause I suck at watermarbles. 

Finalmente, y solo porque no puedo recordar si ya había mostrado esto antes, aqui un tutorial de watermarble usango mi linea de esmaltes glow in the dark favorita: PolishMeToGo. Es super fácil y creanme cuando les digo eso porque apesto haciendo watermarbles.

Thanks to my awesome, gorgeous, sweet friend Mari from Nailista  I have some stamping plates now. She gave me the idea to use the star stamp with holo polish and it really looked beautiful. Sadly there was no sun the day I took this pic. Oh well. 

Gracias a mi increíble, guapa y dulce amiga Mari de Nailista tengo plaquitas de stamping! Ella me dio la idea de usar la estampa de estrellas con esmaltes holográficos y de verdad se ve lindísimo. Lastima que no había sol el dia que tomé esta foto.

This one was also for a twin mani, done with my sweet sweet Pea, Dani! demolitiondiamond on Instagram. We did a whole month of collabs together and one of them was strawberries.

Painted the tulips with acrylic paints. Its always good to try new things.
