PiCture pOlish Blog / Insta Fest 2014

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be a part of this year's piCture pOlish Blog / Insta Fest! For the first part of this post I have a swatch and review of new shade 'Pandora'! It actually happens to be the discontinued Ozotic 624 so now this beautiful color is available again!

Hola a todos! Estoy muy contenta de ser parte del Blog / Insta Fest de piCture pOlish de este año! Para la primera parte de este post les tengo un swatch y review de un nuevo tono, 'Pandora'! En realidad se trata del descontinuado Ozotic 624 así que este bello color esta disponible nuevamente!

Pandora is a beautiful scattered holographic purple polish- so sparkly! The holographic efect is fine yet dense and its almost linear <3 Application is super easy: this is 2 coats only! And removal is not a problem since it doesn't contain glitter. It's long lasting and dries to a smooth, shiny finish. 

Pandora es un hermoso morado con efecto holográfico disperso- cuantos destellos! El efecto holográfico es muy finito pero denso a la vez y casi es lineal <3 La aplicación es sencilla: el swatch son solo dos capas! Y removerlo no cuesta trabajo pues no contiene glitter.Tiene una buena duración y seca muy brillante y parejo.

So, to the second part of this post!! PiCture polish is retailing an exclusive 4-pack of  Nail Vinyls (Chevrons, Mini chevrons, Straight and Right angles). I was given the task to create a nail design using Mini Chevrons vinyls and two PP shades, Chillax and Peaches n' cream!

Asi que, la segunda parte de este post! PiCture pOlish ahora tendrá disponible un paquete exclusivo de 4 Nail Vinyls (Chevrons, Mini chevrons, Straight y Right angles). Se me asignó la tarea de crear un diseño usando Mini chevrons y dos tonos de PP, Chillax y Peaches n' cream!

I came up with a random way to use those mini chevrons, which by the way, are the perfect size for me and my tiny nails. Both polishes work amazingly, they were opaque in 2 coats. 
The vinyls work great as well. They must be placed when the base polish is completely dry and removed while the top polish is still wet, for the best results. I've done chevrons with the decal method but the vinyls also allow you to create and use new techniques!

Se me ocurrió una forma random de usar esos mini chevrons, que por cierto, son del tamaño perfecto para mi y mis mini uñas jaja. Ambos esmaltes son excelentes, quedaron opacos en dos capas. 
Los vinyls también funcionan muy bien. Deben colocarse cuando el esmalte base esta completamente seco y removidos mientras el esmalte de encima sigue fresco, para los mejores resultados. He hecho chevrons con el método de las decals (estampas de esmalte) pero los vinyls dan la oportunidad de probar y crear nuevas técnicas!

For my middle and ring fingernails I did one coat of white polish, then pleaced the mini chevron nail vinyls and one coat of Peaches n' cream and Chillax. For the others I did the same, but using the PP's as the base and one coat of white on top. All sealed with fast dry top coat!
I put together a small pictorial so you could all see exactly how I did it:

Para mi dedo medio y anular, empecé con una capa de esmalte blanco, luego puse los vinyls y una capa de Peaches n' cream y Chillax respectivamente. Para los demás hice lo mismo, pero usando los PP como base y encima una capa de esmalte blanco. ¡Todo sellado con top coat de secado rápido!
Hice un pequeño pictorial para que puedan ver exactamente como lo hice:

 1. Put your base color and add one coat of fast dry top coat of your preference.
2. Place one chevron vinyl across your nail.
3. Place another one, making the pointy edges to touch each other but not too much so that we can get that sharp finish.
4. Repeat on the other side.
5. Put one coat of the other nail polish. Peel off the vinyls while the polish is still wet.
6. Put top coat and that's it!

1. Poner el color base y una capa de top coat de secado rápido.
2. Colocar un chevron vinyl sobre la uña en forma vertical. 
3. Poner otro al lado del primero, haciendo que los extremos puntiagudos se encuentren, pero no demasiado, para obtener el nivel de detalle que buscamos.
3. Repetir del otro lado.
5. Poner una capa del otro color de esmalte. Quitar los vinyls mientras que el esmalte aún esta fresco. 
6. Terminar con top coat y listo!

Aurora / PiCture pOlish

Hello everyone! How are you! For the past few days I wasn't able to blog because I was on the beach! But I'm back now and I today I want to show you an amazing, beautiful, incredible nail polish... the name is Aurora and the brand is piCture pOlish!
 
Hola! Como están chicas? Ya tenía unos dias de no escribirles y es que me fui de vacaciones! Por mas que quería bloggear pues me era muy complicado :/ Pero ya estoy de vuelta y hoy les quiero enseñar un esmalte increible bellísimo genial uff uff uff... ya está en mi top ten, y el nombre de esta belleza es Aurora, de piCture pOlish!

Aurora is a blue/purple duochrome, sometimes that blue looks greenish depending on the light. Even though blue and purple are the most noticeable shades, I would say Aurora is a multichrome because of the pic on top, I see some reddish tones on the top, near my cuticles. Aurora also contains blue and purple little glitters. 

 Aurora es un duochrome que va de azul a morado dependiendo de como le dé la luz. Noté que algunas veces ese azul se ve verdoso. Por otro lado aunque esos son los tonos que más predominan, yo mas bien le veo cara de multichrome por la foto de arriba, en la que se notan tonos rojizos en los bordes. Aurora también tiene glitter pequeñito azul y morado que hace que se vea todavía mas hermoso. 

For this pictures I used 2 coats over black and these are not edited at all! This is the effect of the nail polish and in fact its way more intense IRL. I wasn't a big fan of the duochromes before because they all looked pretty in the bottle but when applied on the nail the effect was gone :( However Aurora didn't disappoint. I love it! 

Para estas fotos usé 2 capas sobre negro y no las edité para nada! Este es el efecto del esmalte y de hecho se ve mucho mas intenso en vivo. No era muy fan de los duochromes antes porque todos se veían super lindos en la botella, pero el efecto en las uñas era practicamente invisible :(. Sin embargo Aurora no me decepcionó, me encanta!

Rose water decals / Water decals de rosas Born Pretty Store

Hi! Today we have another review here at the nail sensation, from Born Pretty Store, this time is all about the cutest rose water decals! I usually paint roses with a small brush but I love how realistic these look! As I have told you before the water decals are activated with water, you must cut the piece that contains the decal you want and submerge it for a few seconds in water (similar to applying a temporary tattoo), then you place it over some base color of your choice and end with top coat! :)

Hola! Hoy en The nail sensation tenemos otro review de Born Pretty Store, esta vez de unas water decals de rosas! Yo suelo pintar las rosas con pincel pero me encanta lo realistas que se ven asi! Como ya les he contado antes las water decals se activan con agua, hay que cortar el pedacito que contenga la estampa que queramos y sumergirla unos segundos en agua (similar a aplicar un tatuaje temporal),  despues hay que colocarla sobre algun color base que queramos y terminar con top coat! :)

For this design I used the water decals over Don't pretzel my buttons by OPI, on my index I placed some rhinestones also from Born Pretty and you can read the review here, and for my thumb and pinky i used Dorothy by australian brand piCture pOlish (which I also showed here) ;)

 The sheet I used has some other designs, letters and a few ovals, but I havent used those. You can check them out here, its the G105.

Denim by piCture pOlish

 Hello! how ya doin'? I'm a little late on this post (I've been doing these PP posts in Sunday mornings), I had a craaaaazy week. So glad its over! I have 3 posts that I've been unable to finish ughh!. But lets get started! Fourth shade I'm gonna show you is Denim. I just want to take a moment and thank PP for giving me this amazing opportunity of reviewing their polishes! Thank you so much!

Hola! Como están? Estoy un poco retrasada en este post (He estado subiendo los posts de PP en las mañanas de Domingo), tuve una semana loquísima!! Estoy mas que feliz de que ya terminó. Tengo 3 posts esperando para ser publicados uggh! (Si, shimmer polish esta en camino!) Pero vamos a empezar! El cuarto tono que les voy a mostrar es Denim. Solo me voy a tomar un momento para agradecer a PP por darme esta oportunidad de probar sus esmaltes! Muchas gracias!

Denim is the perfect jean blue ( I think it might be considered as a periwinkle shade) with silver flecks and blue shimmer. 

Denim es el azul mezclilla perfecto (Creo que también se puede considerar como tono periwinkle) y tiene partículas plateadas y shimmer azul. 

I used 3 coats + top coat for the swatch, but its opaque in 2 coats. It might take a bit to dry but its smooth and beautiful.

Usé 3 capas + top coat para el swatch, pero queda opaco en 2 capas. Podría tomar un poquito de tiempo en secar pero queda parejito y bello. 

This color is very pretty and it does make a unique blue because of the silver flecks and blue shimmer. I loooove blues so this was not the exception! It would look amazing with some denim nail art on top!

Este color es muy hermoso y es unico por sus partículas plateadas y shimmer azul. Yo aaaamo los azules y este no fue la excepción! Creo que se vería increíble con un poco de nail at inspirado en prendas de mezclilla!

For my nail art? Well, i wasnt feeling like doing a jean/denim manicure, so I did whatever came to my head. Yes, it doesnt make much sense, but I promise it looked amazing IRL!

Para mi nail art? Bueno, no me sentia como que muy animada para hacer un mani de jeans o mezclilla asi que hice lo primero que se me vino a la mente. Si, no tiene mucho sentido, pero juro que se veía increible en vivo!

I did 1 coat of Peacock Portrait by Finger Paints and placed some loose blue glitters. Sparkly!

Puse una capa de Peacock Portrait de Finger Paints y coloque unos glitters azules.  <3

Majesty by piCture pOlish

 Hellooo hello my dears! Yes, yes its that time of the week again, that moment when I show you another pretty polish from piCture pOlish! Today is the day to pay Majesty some respect! (lol)

Hooooola hola mis queridos! Si, si es ese momento de la semana otra vez, ese momento en el que les muestro otro hermoso esmalte de piCture pOlish! Hoy es el dia para mostrar a Majesty un poco de respeto! (jajaja majestad. yo y mis chistes)

This is a pic-heavy post but I just couldn't narrow it down! This polish has too many faces and in order to show you it's real beauty it was a must to include several pics of it. No joking I might have taken around a hundred and fifty pics? Oh we'll!   #bloggerprobs.

Majesty comes out of a colaboration between piCture pOlish and blogger Sahrish Adeel. The inspiration for Majesty was to create a shade for every woman, every skin color, every occasion, all ages... In a few words a perfect polish! 

Majesty surgió de la colaboración entre piCture pOlish y la blogger Sahrish Adeel. La inspiración para Majesty era crear el tono perfecto para cualquier mujer sin importar su edad, su color de piel, o la ocasión para usarlo.. En otras palabras un esmalte perfecto!

Writing a description for Majesty is hard, but ill try anyway. Majesty is a nude-pink-champagne-gold-(green at times) shade with gold bits, and has a scattered holo effect, almost linnear. 

Escribir una descripción para Majesty es difícil, pero lo intentaré de todas formas. Majesty es un esmalte nude-rosa-champagne-dorado-(verde a veces) con partículas doradas, y tiene un efecto holográfico disperso, aunque casi lineal.

This polish looks different depending on the lightning. Ive added notes to each picture so you can see where to expect certain effect. 

Este esmalte se ve diferente dependiendo de la luz que haya. Añadí notas al pie de cada imagen para que puedan ver donde esperar cada efecto.

Majesty is a bit sheer, but you can build up the coverage by using thin layers. I used 4 thin layers plus base coat plus top coat, and my nail wasnt feeling weird or anything, it looked as if I had one layer (and not even a thick one). Though, you could use it over another polish such as a nude shade or black. I just liked it better this way.

Majesty es un poquito transparente, pero se puede construir la cobertura mediante capas delgadas. Uspe 4 capas delgadas mas base coat mas top coat, y mi uña no se sentía rara ni nada, se veía como si tuviera una sola capa (y ni siquiera una capa gruesa).  Se puede usar sobre otro esmalte, como un tono nude o negro. A mi me gustó mas de esta forma.

On the next pic you can see that green that I told you about, half of the nail looks pink and the other half looks green.

En la siguiente foto pueden ver el verde que les dije, la mital de la uña se ve rosa y la otra mitad verde.

End of pictures yey! You may wonder now, where is the nail art?
Well, I now it is barbaric to say this (for a nail art lover), but theres no need for it. Its perfect on its own and it doesnt need any embelishments at all. Of course we all could add something to it, but I just didnt feel the need. I had too much fun staring at my nails many times a day.

Bueno, se que es una barbaridad decir esto (para una amante del nail art), pero no lo necesita.  Está perfecto solito y no necesita ninguna decoración. Claro que todos podriamos añadirle algo, pero no sentí la necesidad. Tuve mucha diversión al ver mis uñas varias veces al día.

Dorothy by piCture pOlish

Hi everyone! By public choice on Instagram, the next shade that I reviewed is Dorothy. Its so beautiful! Lets start!

Hola a todos! Por desición del público en Instagram, el siguiente tono para review es Dorothy. Es tan bonito! Empecemos!

Dorothy is a red polish with a pink undertone, it has silver and red glitters and it appears to have some red shimmer too. It's fully opaque in 2 coats and though its smooth, I added some topcoat because it seems to me that glitters are always best with top coat. 

Dorothy es un esmalte rojo con un subtono rosado, tiene glitters rojos y plateados y parece ser que tiene un poco de shimmer rojo también. Queda opaco en 2 capas y aunque seca muy parejo, añadí topcoat porque me parece que los glitters siempre lucen mas con top coat. 

 

I loved wearing it with my blue sweater! The color combo looked amazing *.*

Me encantó usarlo con mi suéter azul! La combinación de colores se veía increíble *.*

 

As you already know it you read my previous post, the brush is amazing and clean up is barely needed. Flawless!

Como sabrán si leyeron mi post anterior, la brocha es genial y el clean up casi es innecesario. Perfecto!

 I used it alone for a few days but lets not forget that im a nail art enthusiast so I added whatever came to my mind, I thought this polish looked amazing with gold too and thats all I used to create this easy, wearable look.

Lo usé solo un par de dias pero no olvidemos que soy fan del nail art así que añadí lo que me vino a la mente, pensé que este esmalte se veía increíble con dorado también así que eso fue todo lo que usé para crear este diseño sencillo y usable.

My friend (Hi Bruno!!) told me that these nails reminded him of Christmas spheres. It kinda does, huh?

Mi amigo (Hola Bruno!!) me dijo que estas uñas le parecían esferas de Navidad. Si parecen, no?
