NOTD / Uñas del dia

 Hello there! I hope you had an amazing holiday time. My best wishes for 2013! 
First post of 2013, a very cute, simple mani that I loved for being so girly and sophisticated. A classic with a twist. Base color is Dior 219, pink is Straberry cream by Revlon (yumm, love the scent!) and the glitter tip, well, thats a beauty. Teenage Dream by OPI, part of the Katy Perry collection. A pink jelly base with holo small and micro glitter. Beautiful, one that was for a long time on my wishlist. 
I used striping tape for the best results.

Mi primer post del 2013, un lindo y simple diseño que me encantó por ser tan femenino y sofisticado. Un clásico con un twist. El color base es Dior 219, seguido de Strawberry cream de Revlon (me encanta como huele!) y el glitter de la punta, es una belleza. Es Teenage Dream de OPI, parte de la colección de Katy Perry. Una base rosa traslúcida con glitter holográfico pequeño y micro. Hermoso, por mucho tiempo estuvo en mi wishlist y gracias a Beauty Corner ahora lo tengo ;'). Use cinta para mejores resultados. Ahora, las fotos. Disfruta!

Revlon: Blue Lagoon

 Revlon's Blue Lagoon is a soft, pastel blue with silver shimmer on it. Though I do not owe it, some people say it's a dupe for Sinful Colors' Cinderella. Application is not easy, at first its uneven and then with some layers it gets better. The brush wont help either: Too large, thin. So, the formula is not that good. It looks as if it was bumpy. Also its not so shiny, needs a top coat for sure. Overall, its a lovely, lovely shade which I use over, and over, and over again.

Blue Lagoon de Revlon es un tono azul pastel con brillos plateados. Aunque no lo poseo algunas personas dicen que es idéntico a Cinderella de Sinful Colors. La aplicación no es fácil, primero queda disparejo y con unas capas queda mejor. El aplicador no ayuda tampoco: Muy largo, delgado. Asi que la fórmula no es muy buena. Se ve como si tuviera bolas. Tampoco queda muy brilloso al secar, necesita una top coat definitivamente. A pesar de todo esto es un tono precioso que uso una, y otra, y otra vez.

Weekend mini haul / Compras del fin de semana

 Monday! Aggh, how much I miss weekend! Cant wait til its Friday lol! But in the meanwhile let me show you my mini haul wich I am enjoying way too much:

Lunes! Aahh, como extraño el fin de semana. No puedo esperar a que sea viernes jaja. Pero mientras tanto quise mostrar mis compras del fin de semana, que son poquitas, pero las estoy disfrutando muchisimo:

First we have this three barrel iron (the big one) that I found for about 23 dollars, it was a great deal cause I saw a smaller one for 45 dollars. Im sooooo in love with this, definitely the best of the weekend. I have a straight hair and I like to have wavy hair sometimes and I tried a lot of things but it just didnt look natural. Now with this.. it looks so cool, so natural, its super super quick. My precioussss.... (Please read with Golum's voice)

Primero tenemos esta rizadora de tres tubos (la grande, porque he visto 3 tamaños) que encontre en 300 pesos. Fue una buena oferta porque vi una mas pequeña por 600. Me encanta!! Lo mejor del fin de semana. Tengo el cabello lacio y me gusta usarlo rizado a veces, he tratado muchas cosas pero nunca se ve natural. Ahora con esto, se ve tan bonito, natural, super rapido. Mi preciosoooo... (Leer con voz de Golum)

 

Then there's these Chanel polish, Diabolo. According to the small research I was able to do, this was a limited edition, from a few years ago. I was lucky enough to find it. Ill talk about it on the next post. 

Luego esta este esmalte de Chanel, Diabolo. De acuerdo a la pequeña investigación que hice, este fue una edición especial, de hace algunos años. Tuve suerte para encontrarlo. Hablare mas de el en el siguiente post.

 

Last but not least we have China Glaze's Grape juice. A very nice purple with silver micro glitter.  Or at least thats how it seems to be, well see, ill write about it soon. Hard to capture though.

Ultimo pero no menos importante, Grape juice de China Glaze. Un morado muy bonito con micro glitter plateado, o al menos eso parece porque no lo he usado, escribire sobre este pronto. Muy difícil de fotografiar.

NOTD: Gone Gonzo! / Uñas del día: Gone Gonzo!

Despite of the weather right now i was in the mood of using glitter polish, and I was really looking forward to try Gone Gonzo! by OPI, which is a clear base with blue small glitter and medium silver glitter, part of The Muppets Collection. But of course, im so into nail art : )

A pesar del clima hoy en la Ciudad de México, tenía ganas de usar glitter, y me moría por usar Gone Gonzo! de OPI, una base clara con glitter azul pequeño y glitter plateado mediano, parte de la coleccion de los Muppets. Pero claro, a mi me gusta el nail art :)

Used Gone Gonzo! as an inversed glitter gradient, over a tie dye base.

Usé Gone Gonzo! como un gradiente de glitter invertido, sobre una base en la que mezclé varios esmaltes.

For this mani I used (from left to right) OPI's Nail Envy, China Glaze's Re-fresh mint, Revlon's Blue Lagoon, a nameless blue micro glitter polish, OPI's Gone Gonzo! and sealed everything with OPI's Rapidry top coat.

Para este look usé (de izquierda a derecha) Nail Envy de OPI, Re-fresh mint de China Glaze, Blue Lagoon de Revlon, un esmalte de micro glitter azul sin nombre (que sospecho que es de Wal Mart), Gone Gonzo! de OPI y  arriba de todo una capa de Rapidry top coat de OPI.
